Runners
Rumi Runners are Kilim rug. Kilims are flat-weave rugs. A kilim is any rug that is constructed without including any knots at all. Instead, the parallel running fibers that comprise the length of the rug (warp) and those that run along the width (weft) make up the whole surface of the rug. Rumi has both modern and traditional runners. Rumi's modern kilims are made in Balkh provinces while traditional kilims are made in Faryab and Jawizjan provinces in norther Afghanistan. Both modern and traditional kilims are known for vibrancy, color, and longevity.
